Privacy policy
Applies to guardlink.com and the GuardLink mobile apps.
What we collect
- Account - your name, email address and a hashed password. We never store your password itself.
- Profile - the phone number, city, county, licenses, certifications, years of experience, minimum pay, preferred shifts, areas and employment types you choose to enter. All of it is self-declared; we do not verify credentials, and we never ask you to upload proof.
- Resume - if you upload one, the file plus its filename, size and upload date.
- Activity - jobs you save, applications you track, job alerts you create, and job views and apply clicks.
- Technical - a session identifier stored in a cookie (web) or your device's secure storage (app).
What we don't collect
- Social security numbers, government IDs or immigration status.
- Payment details from job seekers - GuardLink is free for security professionals.
- Your device location, unless you specifically choose a location feature and grant permission. The app works fully without it.
How your resume is handled
Resumes are stored privately with randomly generated filenames, outside any public directory. There is no public or shareable URL for a resume. Downloading one requires being signed in as its owner. Employers cannot browse or search resumes.
Who sees your information
Your profile, saved jobs, applications, alerts and resume are visible only to you and to GuardLink administrators for support and abuse handling. We do not sell your data and we do not send it to employers. When you apply, you leave GuardLink for the employer's own site - anything you enter there is governed by that employer's privacy policy, not this one.
Deleting your data
You can delete your resume at any time from your profile. To delete your account, contact us through the support page - removing an account also removes its profile, resume, saved jobs, applications and alerts.
